Tsai-Chu Yeh Wins Award at ARVO

Salt Lake City, UT — Dr. Tsai-Chu Yeh, a postdoctoral researcher and vitreoretinal surgeon, received the 2025 Mina Chung Memorial Research Award from the Women in Retina Conference at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).

Yeh’s prospective study presents a novel volumetric approach that correlates volume changes in choroidal neovascularization with visual outcomes, offering new perspectives on assessing therapeutic response in age-related macular degeneration.

This prestigious award honors the legacy of Mina Chung, MD, a pioneering retinal surgeon and cherished mentor, and includes a travel grant to attend the upcoming American Society of Retina Specialists meeting in Long Beach, California.

Vinit Mahajan M.D., Ph.D., Stanford professor and vice chair of ophthalmology research, said, “I am not surprised that Chu won this prestigious award. The quality of her work is outstanding, and her productivity is impressive. Her work ethic is unparalleled, but her positive attitude makes her really special. She always faces challenges with a smile and is a great team member. We are lucky to have her in lab.”
