Visit to NBA Warriors Arena

Dr. Vinit Mahajan spoke on Personalized Proteomics in Eye Disease at Stanford’s annual "In Your Court" gathering of community physicians held at the NBA Warrior’s Oracle Arena.

Physician networking was the highlight, but an added bonus was touring the Warriors’ locker room and playing on the same court as Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. Prior to the lecture, Mahajan sunk his first shot (and missed the next 5). 

Jim Barnett (above left), former Oakland Warrior player and current Warriors' television analyst, greeted physicians and showed off the NBA championship trophies.

Other talks of the night included “Stanford Neurosurgery Simulation and 3D Virtual Reality Center” given by Gary Steinberg M.D., Ph.D., "Car-T cells for Lymphoma" given by David Miklos M.D., Ph.D. (above right), and "Impact of Alcohol, Fatty Liver, and Hepatitis C Virus on Liver Transplantation in the United States—An Eye-Opener” given by Aijaz Ahmed M.D.
